[opencms-dev] Getting OpenCMS up and running - newsmodule, de mo website

I followed the correct procedure using the sql script and importing the news
module on my 5.0 installation. It all seemed to load without any problems,
but when I try either of the news module demo links from the index.html
page, I get this error:
[news] ??? [CmsException]: 0 Unknown exception. Detailed Error: User method
getNewsList throwed an exception. java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
com/opencms/modules/homepage/news/NewsChannelContentDefinition.
NewsChannelContentDefinition.class does reside in my WEB-INF directory at
the path above, so I'm puzzled.
I also get errors when clicking on the "NewsChannel" and "News" icons in the
admin view. All of this worked in my 4.6.0 installation.
Using Win2k/Tomcat/Mysql.
Have I overlooked something? Thanks,
Joe

Subject: AW: [opencms-dev] Getting OpenCMS up and running - newsmodule, demo
website
Hello Michael,
that was it. Now I have all the folders and can start using the demo
project. It is also now working with version 5.
The problem is that I am trying to get into OpenCMS step by step, I have
done template development with other CMS (esp. Documentum webpublisher) but
have
no experience at all with this system or something similar to it. So I have
had no idea so far how I import modules in comparison to data, etc.
thanks a lot,
Christian

This file is not a module to import, it must be imported with the database
import function of OpenCms. So try the following: Create a new project
which contains the root folder, switch to this offline project- Now go to
database adminstration -> import and import the "website_import3.zip" file.
After that you can publish the project or stay within the offline project
you just have created.
