Thanks, Alex, for the detailed answer.

Can you cover the Wysiwyg editor issue my colleague was experiencing,
with a few words? These doubling of templates that was occuring.

Every content that was surrounded by a <template/> </template> pair got
doubled by an <edittemplate/> </edittemplate> pair.  This looked strange
and redundant.
