[opencms-dev] Multiple permissioned root folders

Hi Achim

Many thanks for your reply. I'm interested in your suggestions.

First - any idea when the next version may be available?

I've tried using user permissioning to solve this problem. I can create a
project, assign it to Company X's user group, and assign that project to a
"Company X" folder. This is great, but then we have a problem. Upon
publishing and switching to the Online project the user can view all folders
from the root (including Company Y's folders)

I'm also interested in the "many WAR file" solution. So this would require a
directory structure like:

/webapps/opencms-companyA
/webapps/opencms-companyB

etc.

Would this require ocsetup to be run against each web archive? Can they
share the same database? If they can then this could be a possibility.

Many thanks again

Mark

Hy Mark,

as far as i know OCms isn`t able to manage more than one root.
It`s a requested feature for the next version i think. But there are
several workarounds you can do. For example set several war files. Or do
it with the User Rights management. This should work too. But it isn`t
mandatoryable i think!
Hope this helps

Achim
