[opencms-dev] Real Client IP address in Open CMS

Hello Peter,

well i think you`re lost without basic knowledge.
Sorry it`s hard but i have to say it at hard as it is.

OK, basic stuff.

The Opencms API provides a Class called CmsObject. This class wrappes the
original request from the client. So you can get the request object from
this cmsobject with method getRequest(). So your code wasnot so wrong, but
you forgot to instanciate it!
Hope this helps.
