Why ActiveX? AFAIK this is limited to IE right? Why limit your users to
IE, when you can make editors who work in Mozilla browsers as well?

True, Safari is still quite poor in javascript. But on the other hand:
why rely on javascript so much? For instance, is it possible to use
opencms with javascript switched off?

Allright, Camino (a mozilla project) didn't work with the wizard
though...
