Hi,

first of all try to use the latest JDK 1.4.1 - 1.4.1_07 now, there is some
problem in JDK 1.4.2 & OpenCms 5.0 related to this issue I didn't have time
until now to investigate.

Regards

Petr

Hi,

I'm Zbyszek's friend working on the same project. To answer your question,
our configuration is:
OpenCMS - 5.0
MySQL - 4.0.17-0 (default-character-set=latin2)
JDK - 1.4.2-03
Tomcat - 4.1.29

We also set the following properties:
CATALINA_OPTS=-Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-2
opencms.properties: defaultContentEncoding=ISO-8859-2

Maybe this information will also help: our operating system is RedHat 9.0
with lang=en_US.UTF-8 but we run OpenCMS clients on Windows XP Professional
(Polish programmers keyboard) in IE 6.0.

Best regards,
        Lukas

Hi,
to be able to help you, you should always provide some basic information
about your environment:

Which version of OpenCms, MySQL, JDK, Tomcat/JBoss/etc. do you use?

Best regards
Petr

Hi,

I want to create a website in Polish language (and in Russian). I switched
Mysql and Opencms to ISO-8859-2 and everything seems to be correct.
Unfortunately, there is a problem with navigation text. When I put there
something with polish signs, they are replaced with question marks. I
checked a source of created page, which contains polish characters and in
place of any polish character I found &#xxx; (were xxx is some number) (in
page content), but in place of Navlinks are only question marks. The same
problem is with Russian language. Do you know any solution? (I tried already
with UTF-8, but there are big problems with Mysql, and I failed to finish
installation).

Best regards
          Zbyszek
