AW: [opencms-dev] Using DB Import instead of "the hard way"

When people say XML format, it is a little bit deceptive.
In the body file what it really is is one or more blobs of html rapped
inside one or more xml tags. Each blob for different parts of the pages
content. So all you need to do is read your files (perhaps all of it) and
insert it into the xml. Then the page file is just some information about
templates used.

I found it best to export, then modify, then reimport, but if there is a
module to do it then...

>Did everybody create their sites in OpenCMS from scratch? How many

Me for one.

Most of the files are graphics, but many are html. So having uploaded
most of the directories using the zip upload is useless to me because I
won't be able to edit the HTML? After they're already in OpenCMS is
there a way to convert them to XML?

Did everybody create their sites in OpenCMS from scratch? How many
people had existing sites that they moved into OpenCMS?
