[opencms-dev] Urgent: 5.3.6 workplace issues

I have found a web hosting company with Tomcat and MySQL.
I have installed OpenCMS 5.3.6 and run the setup wizard successfully.
I have the ip address of the host machine and my designated port e.g.
203.89.241.197:8106
in my site.workplace and site.root.list in opencms.properties (correct?).
I am having issues with the tree view (left side) of the workplace.
It does not reflect what I select in the Site droplist. e.g. /sites/default
shows /
Performing a Reload corrects the tree view.
But the tree view is not functioning correctly.
Browser error i sometimes see is 'tree.nodes[...].open' is null or not an
object.

Help please.
