It would be under something like internet settings, protecting personal information (I don't have an english version at hand, not even an IE as I'm using my Mac at this point in time :-) I seem to recall they do something similar to Firefox when you hit a page with a pop-up, ie. let you enable popups per site.

ah OK, can you explain how to amend IE popup blocker settings ?, I cannot find it anywhere on my system. This must then be the problem and if we can find this and reset it, hopefully it will work with Internet Explorer for her too.

    Thanks

    What versions are you using?

If it is version 5 then there is no WYSIWYG-editor for Firefox - instead it defaults to use the source code editor. This would explain why she sees only a few buttons on the toolbar.

You did not state explicitly that the pop-up blocker has been disabled in IE (servicepack 2 updates IE so it gets a pop up blocker similar to Firefox).
If that is not the problem, and she not just using wrong username/password (be aware of upper/lower case), then you must provide more information like what is in the opencms log and the like.

    Hi,

We are new to OpenCms and have just started using it. Our customer is currently waiting to populate their website, so I would appreciate a quick response to this email as we cannot figure out why it is happening and we hope you have seen it before and can tell us why it is and what we could do about it.

Basically, the customer is accessing the system via Windows XP with Servicepack 2 installed on a wireless networked laptop. With Internet explorer she could not login, we tried Mozilla Firefox browser with popups enabled and this worked.

Now, she is trying to edit pages, when in the WYSIWIG Editor, she cannot see the full toolbar, e.g. font, size, alignment, bold etc.. she can only see a couple of icons, e.g. save and help. Also, when entering text, she enters it, presses return to put a space between paragraphs, but when she clicks "save" the whole page of text lumps into one paragraph, and does not remain formatted.

I am logging in from my system (which is exactly the same except I have not got servicepack 2 installed for XP and I am using Internet Explorer) and I can access everything fine.

Is there a known bug with SP2 ? what can I do to resolve it, this customer really needs to login and start putting content on their website in preparation for an exhibtion this weekend.
