[opencms-dev] Exporting contents to another server

Hello all!

Is it possible to export content items out of the OpenCms-VFS to another 
server using the CMS's standard export functionality?
If so - how can I determine the export path? 

Could it be seen like this?: 
The content is pushed out of the OpenCms-VFS to a static URL. The server 
receiving the information has to "listen" to this URL in order to get the 
information.
