Since I've actually been playing with this just this morning...
Safari is the browser that's bundled by Apple with OSX. It's able to
access OpenCMS just fine. However, when it comes to editing content it
only presents the source code editor, not the wysiwyg. (This is a
limitation of FCKEditor, not of OpenCMS itself, and one which is
apparently the subject of some ongoing R&D -- see
http://www.fckeditor.net/safari for details.)
On my Macbook, I use Camino (which is built from the Firefox codebase),
which FCKEditor does support with wysiwyg editing.

Hi Joachim!
Thanks for the help.
The OpenCms App and Tomcat App Server (5.x) with MySql db (4.1 or 5.0)
will propably run on Linux.
We've done that before without problems.
But the content editors, the people who will maintain the content
itself, are partly Mac -users.
So I only wanted to know if the OpenCms workplace could run without
problems in the possible Mac Browser(s).
You said 'safari works partly too'. Is Safari the default browser for
Mac?
And what's not working then?
If it doesn't work as it should under Safari, then all content-editors
will have to install Firefox. ;)
Thanks again.
Best regards!
Steven.
