[opencms-dev] Merge new database into existing one

Hi,

Is there some kind of technique to merge existing OpenCms database
portal with a new base version?

 

My use case is that we provide base version of a portal and content
managers add more content through time. Then later on, we will have a
new base version we would like the portal to be upgraded but without
losing the content they already inserted.

 

If it helps we can assume that the new content will always be under
specific location, but I guess templates can change as well.
