[opencms-dev] when links are moving

When objects (e.g. /galleries/*.gif) that are referenced by pages are
moved around in the VFS, is the a way OpenCms can track it and change
the links automatically? It was to me there had been such a feature
or is it in the upcoming 7.5?
Or doesn't it exist at all and doesn't make sense for whatever reason?
