Yes, xmlvfsbundles use UTF-8. Forget native2ascii.
Plus xmlvfsbundles are automatically reloaded when published. No need to restart the application to load changes.
Kind Regards,
Alex.

Subject: [opencms-dev] Question regarding xmlvfsbundle and chracter encoding
Hey all,
does anyone know if I am right to assume that the new localization mechanism via "xmlvfsbundle" doesn’t have the same encoding limitations like properties files (that have to be ISO-8859-1)?
So can I just use "UTF-8" in xmlvfsbundles and forget about all that native2ascii hassle I needed for characters that aren't contained in ISO-8859-1?
This would be really nice!
Cheers
Kai
