[opencms-dev] Migration advice - when coming from 7.5.0 or 8.0.3

I'm in the course of migrating a web site to Windows 7 in whil doing 
this I'm updating all servers etc. to newer versions (apache, 
tomcat,mysql) and also OpenCMS.

Is there a recommendation as to what the max version numbers are, under 
which "old" sites will run without modification? E.g. will I be able to 
run my JSP templates
under OpenCMS 9.0.1?
