Subject: Re: [opencms-dev] Cannot add template area to new container page
Thank you for responding Antonio. I am using version 11.0.2 the latest version. I created a new website using the website tool. I created the new container page under the new website. The new website uses the mercury template by default. Do I need to do something also under the container page? I thought it flowed down. Thanks for your help.
Warm regards,
Ivan Sr

Hello Ivan,
could you please send more information about your installation? Which OpenCms version are you using? Are you creating the pages under the demo site?
Anyway I suggest to check if you configured the property "Template" of the container page and check the file .content/.config under your site.
Kind regards

Every time I create a new container page I get a red message saying “Template Developer” and saying I need to add a template area. However, I cannot select and move template area to the container page even though I have the Super Admin and Templator roles. How do I assign a template element (or any element for that matter) to the new container page? This seems like a bug.
Thank for your help.
Ivan
