for sure it`ll be helpful. on opencms.al-arenal.de you find a tutorial
which describes the development of a backofficeModule. When you want to
add a complete new view, you have to mark your new module at creating as a
module for view. TO have this just klick on view. The Rest of development
is mostly same as for a backoffice module. Normally when i do new things
in opencms i have a look at workplace -- administration ... it`s helpful
